A bittersweet memory from Jaipur, the red rocks of Colorado, an ice cave cathedral in Sweden... the sources of my inspiration are limitless. I would describe my painting as a translation of memory, a corporeal interpretation of what otherwise cannot be seen or touched.
I paint intuitively, with little more than a color and an idea in mind. When I paint for other people, I try to make the painting as biographical as possible; including imagery from a special place or sentimental object to form the conceptual grounding for the painting. I believe surrounding yourself with reflections of what is important to you and what touches you personally will reinforce these positive elements in your life.
